Naomi Grigg 1 - Photographer Ben RobertsSince falling into skating 16 years ago, Naomi has experimented in aggressive skating, rollerskating, speed skating, street skating and has become an internationally famous freestyle slalom skater, peaking at 3rd in the world.

Founder and Coach of the SkateFreestyle competition & demo team and Chairperson of the UKFSA (UK Freestyle Skating Association). Naomi also works extensively to develop the sport at home and overseas, is partner in SebaUSA, the US distributor of Seba skates, and is a world championships level international judge.

    • Bronze at the international LeMans 24 hour race with LondonSkaters Speed Team (LSST) womens team. Best lap 8m02, 2005.
    • Marathon personal best time: 1hr18minutes - Berlin, Germany. Other times 1hr24 (Munich), 1hr19 (Berlin).

    • Le Mans 24hr race June2003 (Unisex Skatefresh team).
    • UKs first team to enter the annual 24 hour skate relay race at the LeMans race circuit, France, June 2002 (Unisex team).

Teaching & Coaching Experience

  • International Inline Skating Association (IISA), Instructor Certification Programme (ICP) qualified Level 3 instructor - the highest level available.
  • The only trainer and examiner/qualifier of ICP freestyle slalom instructors worldwide.
  • Extensive experience teaching and coaching freestyle skating, UK and abroad.
    • Over 100 highly successful ‘Introduction to Freestyle’ and ‘Intermediate Freestyle’ courses held world wide in approximately 30 locations worldwide in Europe, Asia, USA and Australia since 2003, with many participants going on to compete in international competition (and win them in some cases!).
  • Coach of US champions, Belgian Champion, the top ranked Netherlands freestyle skater, Australian Champion.
